Krakus Aires Tango Festival

Since 2017, we have been organizing a tango festival in Cracow. This is an exclusive event for 300 people who succesfully go throught the registration process.

Every day, three milongas are held: afternoon, evening, and afterparty until 7 am. Each of them is in a different venue, so our guests visit several different places during the festival , including the ballroom in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, 135 meters underground, the Aviation Museum, and the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre.

Tango Challenge

Tango Challenge is a formula of intensive tango workshops, initiated in 2014. Our camps last three or six days and are dedicated to advanced dancers. This is a project in which we try to create ideal conditions for the development of tangueros who think seriously about tango.

Currently, the workshops take place three times a year, at the Baltic Sea, in Lanckorona, and in Cracow.

Around 70% of Tango Challenge participants take part in the workshop repeatedly and come to all the types of the camps. We are glad you want to return to us.

Milonga Krakowska

Our most recent project is Milonga Krakowska. It takes place once a month and is held by a collective of Cracow organizers in a very original ballroom of the Food Crafts Guild in the centre of the city.

We are guided by the idea of integrating the tango community in Cracow. This is one of the reasons why we invented the Mieszanka Krakowska Lottery, whose name refers to a popular local mixed chocolate box. We invite all active teachers in Cracow to participate in it. During the milongas, from over 20 people we draw a leader and a follower who will dance a show together at the next milonga.

Dance is a Manly Thing

Dance is a Manly Thing—a social campaign initiated and carried out by us since 2014, aimed at changing the image of men who dance. We replaced the picture of an effeminate dancer with a strong macho on a motorcycle.

Within the framework of Dance is a Manly Thing, we would like to remind people that the ability to dance has been the domain of real men for centuries. In prehistoric times, ritual, combat, and mating dances were danced. Among mediaeval knights, knowledge of court dance was valued as much as mastery of the sword. The Spartans, Māori, Zaporozhian Cossacks, and highland robbers manifested their masculinity and physical strength in a war dance. Emanating with energy and testosterone, tango, or rock'n'roll and sensual Latin dances were the best way to gain recognition of the fair sex.
